Feature Article
True New York Poem
I chose to include these three pieces in my portfolio because
they are good pieces of work that I did. They show that I can put effort into my work and I feel that
they are strong pieces of writing.
I feel like my writing skills are my strength.
I chose to include my Odyssey
essay because it is one of my best efforts in Humanities. This essay is long and has enough evidence. I explained each of my quotes to prove
my argument.
I chose to include
my Feature article because I feel like it showed the struggles of my subject. I saw the improvements made by the 10th
graders I interviewed. My writing
shows I can relate to them.
My last piece is my True New York poem is about Riverbank State
Park. I chose this place to represent
New York because I live near by. The
park represents alot of memories for me and it is a good place for people to go. It offers resources for people to stay
fit. I am proud of my poem because
I went in depth with the details and I talked about the features of the park.
I have
grown this year by staying more on top of my work. I make sure to check in with my teachers about all of my assignments. My grades have improved in every subject
this year. My goal for next year
is to us my planner more and continued to stay focused on my work.
